DCSA's Program Executive Office (PEO) seeks a policy and cybersecurity risk mitigation specialist developing and publishing Federal, DoD, and DCSA standards, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and procedures for executing cybersecurity and operational regulatory guidance. Assists agency stakeholders with developing and implementing cyber based policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the sustainment of agency-wide regulatory standards. Duties

As a IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Telework Eligibility: This position is telework eligible, but is not a full time telework position. The incumbent will be required to report to the office on a routine basis.
  • If selected, the incumbent must obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance as indicated in job announcement.
  • To be compliant with the Cyber Work Force qualifications of this position(441-Network Operations Specialist-Intermediate) and (145-SystemsAdministrator-Intermediate).
  • The employee must have or obtain within 6 months the proper certifications: Defined as one of (Cloud+, GICSP, or SSCP),alternately both (CEH, or CFR, and GSEC).
  • Must have skill: Systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition life cycle.
  • Must have skill: Cybersecurity policy and planning.
  • Must have skill: Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-12) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience with Enterprise Architecture of networks, cloud infrastructures, Risk Management Framework (RMF): Unified Information security framework for the entire federal government. Information Technology (IT) test and evaluation; IT configuration management; cybersecurity computer science disciplines; cybersecurity policy and planning; performing work to protect and defend information and information technology supporting the cybersecurity mission; documenting and addressing an organization's information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1. Risk Management Framework (RMF) - Unified Information security framework for the entire federal government. 2. Information Assurance - Knowledge of methods and procedures to protect information systems and data by ensuring their availability, authentication, confidentiality, and integrity. 3. Cybersecurity - Protect and defend information and information systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. (AKA Information Assurance)/ 4. Information Technology Test and Evaluation - Test, monitor and evaluate Information Technology technologies during design, development, procurement and/or implementation to ensure internal and external requirements are met. 5. Information Technology Configuration Management - Plan, implement, track and/or evaluate configuration/requirement changes across the enterprise and organizations. 6. Application Software-design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, vulnerability management and support of new or existing applications software. 7. Attention to detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 8. Problem solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. 9. Oral Communication - Expresses ideas and facts to individuals or groups effectively; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others; facilitates an open exchange of ideas.
