Directed Energy Test Director. Serve as the lead for testing for AFRL/RD and DoD pre-acquisition Directed Energy systems and integration of new technologies into DoD major weapons systems programs.

Leads, plans, coordinates, executes, and reports on research, developmental, and operational test activities during the design development, production, and fielding of new and/or modified major DoD weapon systems.
Serves as the AFRL/Directed Energy Test and Evaluation Field Manager for all T&E activities including experimentation and prototype programs. Has oversight of all phases of testing and leads a diverse test team of military, civilians, and contractors.
Ensures testing in realistic DT and OT environments, stressing the systems to determine mission capability and to identify changes to existing or new CONOPS/tactics to ensure the systems operate effectively, safely, are sustainable, and mission capable.
Ensures test processes are sound. Documents test procedures, assessment methodologies, and final recommendations on test results. Chairs and attends test events and plans meetings, design reviews, and other meetings needed for R&D and T&E.
Serves as administrator of the Test Collaboration & Review Site for test documents including plans, SOP's, reports, etc. Ensures all test team collaborators use the site for review and coordination and as a test and safety documentation repository.

- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Maximum Telework Flexibilities: The duty location for this position is Kirtland AFB NM, however, this position is eligible for maximum telework flexibilities. Telework options can be negotiated and implemented after entrance on duty.

- PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations. This is a Centrally Managed position under the Operations Career Field.

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standard for General Schedule Positions, Group Standard for Administrative and Management Positions. To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DO-1 (GS-11) broadband. Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
Required Qualifications:
United States Citizenship.
Candidate must have Testing experience.
Candidate must have or be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
