This position primary purpose: Perform a wide range of functions and tasks that require vision, leadership, and proficiency in developing, coordinating, planning and implementing projects. Problem identification, analysis, and resolution is central to the incumbent's activities, as is the ability to develop pertinent information and communicate it to varied audiences in a timely and appropriate manner.

Duties

Serves as an advisor to the Executive Director, DAF RCO-Field Support Unit and other staff members, for all support activities for selected Combatant Command and Intelligence Community threat assessment requirements. Advises on technical, programmatic, and policy related matters and on Integrated Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to improve US intelligence ability to perform Predictive Battlespace Awareness. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs the daily operation of the Directorate, establishes clear objectives in the context of resources, policy environment, current intelligence on emerging threats and in planning, coordinating and presenting threat concepts of operation and analytical products. Serves as National and US Air Force authority for Predictive Battlespace Awareness and Intelligence Alternative Analysis supporting select combatant command priority requirements. Develops and directs policies, principles and concepts for planning, coordinating and presenting threat concepts of operations and analytical products for Combatant Command and Intelligence Community requirements. Coordinates development of threat analytical products with planners from Combatant Commands, and agencies within the Intelligence Community, in support of assessment objectives.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. This is a GG-15 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-15 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-15 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of and experience in supervising or managing an element, unit, or major project, and providing leadership by establishing objectives, making principal decisions, identifying needs, gaining managerial support, initiating actions to meet objectives and evaluating results against the objectives. Knowledge in and the application of data analytical methodologies and statistical tools to derive diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive outcomes from ISR data feeds. These outcomes should lead to demonstrated ability to perform problem identification, analysis, and resolution to develop and implement plans that are technically and operationally feasible. Knowledge of the decision making process and the ability to apply this knowledge for tactical, operational, or strategic products and support. Knowledge of and operational experience in one or more of the following warfare disciplines: Combat Arms, Tactical Aviation or Special Operations. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in supervising or managing an element, unit, or major project, and providing leadership by establishing objectives, making principal decisions, identifying needs, gaining managerial support, initiating actions to meet objectives and evaluating results against the objectives. Ability to, and experience in providing operational and procedural advice and assistance for operation and campaign planning, as well as for the conduct, coordination, and execution of threat and field assessments in support of combatant command requirements. Skill in and experience planning and managing all-source intelligence analysis and production for the purpose of creating operationally focused threat assessments in support of Combatant Command warfighting requirements. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small organization and establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. Ability to, and experience in leading and fostering collaborative working relationships across organizations and disciplines; and ability to represent an organization and defend the organization's position in conferences working groups and planning sessions. Skill in communicating orally and in writing clear and concise reports/correspondence and in preparing and communicating technical and non-technical presentations to a variety of audiences. Experience in meeting with high-level management officials within DoD and other government agencies. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: Position is designated special sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Tier 5 investigation. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and, (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing. This is a Mission Essential (ME) position performing a Mission Critical Function (MCF) which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions. IAW, DoDI 3020-42, Defense Continuity Programs. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
