About the Position: Serves as a Capabilities, Modernization and Simulation Specialist for Medical Center of Excellence(MEDCoE), Directorate of Simulation (DoS) located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Develops/writes all or portions of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documents impacting the Proponent areas.
Prepares directives promulgating the conduct and coordination of applicable programs.
Manages programs and activities required for the attainment and sustainment of internal and external certifications and accreditation of MMS and MedSim facilities and activities.
Compiles reported improvement requirements, analyzes their feasibility, and develops implementation concepts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Travel duty requirement up to 20% of the time.
- Must maintain and obtain Secret background investigation.
- This position is designated as Key position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing doctrinal literature, training material, leadership and education developments; resolving organizational, operational and technology issues as they relate to medical training and testing; studying new technologies and recommending their insertion into virtual and gaming simulation development whenever feasible and appropriate; conducts research and analysis, model development, and testing of programs and processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
