Duties
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's program and administrative operations.
You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This is a Financial Management Level I verified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) applying a wide range of standard practices and procedures in support of financial and/or budget objectives for an organization; 2) provides clerical and technical support in accounting, budget, and other related financial management work; 3) formulate budget and cost estimate to support plans and/or programs.

Education
GS-11:Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

Successfully completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
