The primary purpose of this position is to perform work in support of Program Control Division and to manage various administrative programs and provide support to higher graded analysts responsible for providing the directorate with management, operations and statistical analysis, and evaluation to ensure effective mission support.
Duties
Monitor and report time and attendance or budgetary information, which includes the preparation of materials for managers use.
Use multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats such as graphics or tables within text editing and reformatting, electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets.
Serve as the Program Control Division Administrative Coordinator.
Act as purchasing agent for the Program Control Division/Logistics Management Directorate.
Provide assistance to senior analysts within the Program Control Division (LGO).

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes practical knowledge of the purposes, methods, and techniques of management analysts, and/or program analysts, and the structures, functions, processes, objectives, products, services, resource requirements, and similar features of programs and organizations.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of management methods and organization practices and techniques to provide ready access to the personnel on programs, projects, procedures, and regulations.
Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to be able to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports.
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
Ability to analyze, verify and correlate data, locate a symbol, and compose information for non routine reports, inquiries and technical correspondence; communicate effectively both orally and in writing and plan, organize work, and meet deadlines.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
Physical Demands
The work is mostly sedentary. No special physical demands are involved. There may be some walking, standing, bending or carrying of light items.
Work Environment
The employee works in an inadequately lighted and ventilated office environment. Observes normal safety precautions.
OFFICE AUTOMATION AND PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting experience or education requirements, applicants must possess the skill of a qualified typist, a minimum of 40 WPM proficiency. Applicants may meet this requirement by passing the appropriate performance test, presenting a certificate of proficiency from a school of organization authorized to issue such certificates by the Office of Personnel Management local office or by self-certifying their proficiency in the assessment tool. NOTE: You will be considered INELIGIBLE if you do not provide information concerning your typing speed.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
