You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GRANTS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the RESEARCH SUPPORT DIVISION, ACQUISITION DIRECTORATE, OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT FOR RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (AVR) of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will provide oversight and direction for grants, cooperative agreements and other management activities of the Acquisition Directorate, as well as coordination, support, interpretation and process improvements of policies and procedures.
You will exercise broad supervisory responsibility for soliciting, negotiating, awarding and managing Grants, Cooperative Agreements and Other Transactions for research activities at USU.
You will develop, implement and provide training on policies and procedures for routine assessment, process improvement and management activities.
You will serve as the senior advisor on Grants, Cooperative Agreements and Other Transactions, providing Principle Investigators with information, assistance, and direction.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: life-cycle management in soliciting, negotiating, awarding and administering grants, cooperative agreements and Other Transactions.
