You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GRANTS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the OFFICE OF THE VP FOR FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will perform a variety of senior-level duties related to the award, administration and management of Uniformed Services University (USU) awarded grants ranging from small projects to complex multi-site clinical programs.
You will serve as the contact person on grantsmanship matters, providing investigators with information, assistance, and direction and processing of research proposals.
You will develop and implement policies, philosophies, and procedures for the routine assessment and management of the program.
You will review all actions related to grants and research awards and administration conducted by junior grants management specialists.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: negotiating, awarding, and administering grants and cooperative agreements and providing oversight and direction for grants and cooperative agreement management activities.
