Duties
As a Public Health Analyst (Data Analytics), you will:
Support the analyzing and evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned public health programs
Support overseeing, implementing and conducting scientific surveys/studies or projects to identify and solve health system and communication problems
Develop qualitative and quantitative methods and strategies for planning, evaluating and documenting program activities
Gather data and coordinate with others to develop program guidelines, goals, plans and strategies
Support the initiation, management, and/or close out of grants, awards, and/or cooperative agreements
Monitor and/or evaluate performance and prepare for, assist with or participate in negotiations
Monitor expenditures, grants, awards and other comparable funds
Make presentations and/or conduct training
Prepare project papers, reports, articles, publications, and other substantive materials
Respond to inquiries and requests for information
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-09 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level, which must include the following experience: providing technical advice and assistance in the implementation and evaluation of a state, local or federal public health program; providing technical assistance to federal grant or cooperative agreement recipients regarding data reporting and in systems used to manage awards (e.g., GrantSolutions and Salesforce-based platform(s)); and analyzing data that may be used for program management.
OR
Master's degree in Public Health or other field of study with course work directly related to the work of the position to be filled or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
A combination of specialized experience and education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
A copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
