About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the SOLDIER & CHEM/BIO R&S DIR, Weapons PSID. The referral list(s) generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in other organizations throughout the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC).
Duties
Serve as Senior Inventory Management Specialist for determining and programming long-range requirements, distribution activities, and procurement and cataloging actions for assigned commodities.
Is a point of contact for all problems/inquiries concerning assigned commodities/systems.
Renders authoritative decisions in coordinating the accomplishment of supply control functions relative to requirements computation, rebuild and disposal direction, distribution management, procurement direction, and cataloging actions.
Provides statistical advice, assistance and training to LMP users, conducts reviews of demand history for weapon systems, and recommends changes to forecasting techniques as required.
Based on exceptional knowledge of materiel control functions, reviews supply control and/or materiel planning studies and multi-year requirements studies.
Acquire and evaluate all relevant information needed to compute requirements by time periods and develop budget estimates and forecasts.
Establish, conduct, and maintain continuing liaison relationships with representatives of higher Headquarters, Life Cycle Management Command, (Joint) Program Managers, Acquisition and other Services.
Requirements
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Demand planning or material requirements planning; (2) Providing commodity or system integrated support; (3) Providing input or processing disposal actions; (4) Coordinating or establishing repair programs to initiate component repairs; and (5) Preparing or communicating status regarding supply availability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
