You will serve as a MANAGER in the Logistics and Life Cycle Support of NIWC PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA

Duties

You will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) of the 4.3 Local Competency for Intergrated Logistics, Restoration and Training Community of Practice (COP). You will supervise, administer, and perform professional work associated with Intergrated Logistics Support (ILS) of C4ISR systems on the US Navy and other DoD platforms, ashore and afloat. You will be responsible for the administrative and technical management of a workforce of 150+ military/ civilian employees. You will be responsible for reporting information regarding logistics support elements to technical and administrative offices at all levels including SPAWAR HQ 4.0. You will set employee performance expectations. You will supervise a group of subordinate supervisors and division staff employees.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Generally, current Federal employees applying for STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and stated in your resume.

Qualifications

NM-05 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: responsible for technical and business coordination and day-to-day operations for the Integrated Logistics Support and engineering work in support of computer networks for C4ISR systems on US Navy and other DoD platforms, ashore and afloat. The work involves (1) sustainment logistics & engineering support required to ensure proper reliability and maintainability of fielded systems and (2) engineering technical support of acquisition logistics necessary for the fielding of new and replacement systems; Skilled at leading organizational teams to shape strategy, implement best practices, and encourages new ideas and innovation. NM-04 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: responsible for technical and business coordination and day-to-day operations for the Integrated Logistics Support and engineering work in support of computer networks for C4ISR systems on US Navy and other DoD platforms, ashore and afloat. The work involves (1) sustainment logistics & engineering support required to ensure proper reliability and maintainability of fielded systems and (2) engineering technical support of acquisition logistics necessary for the fielding of new and replacement systems.
