You will serve as a PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the in the Command Operations Department in the Security Division of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will administer and monitor Industrial Security requirements to determine the program's effectiveness
You will conduct Information Security audits to identify deficiencies in security protocols
You will ensure all personnel who handle classified information or are assigned sensitive duties are appropriately cleared
You will conduct analyses and risk assessments to identify potential security problems
You will analyze and evaluate security directive, guidelines, policy, legislation, and regulations supporting special programs for correct implementation and adherence by the command and assigned personnel

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Receiving requests for security clearances and applies appropriate DOD regulations regarding the type of Personnel Security Investigation required;2) Providing guidance in pre-employment security screenings using the Civilian Workflow Automated Tool (CWA) as well as the preparation of the Electronic questionnaire Investigation Processing Direct (EQIP-Direct) and all associated documents for submission by assigned personnel as appropriate;3) Evaluating all available information to determine whether interim or final security clearance access shall be granted for prospective employees/visitors;4) Preparing necessary reports, investigative packets, and maintaining personnel security clearance records;5) Overseeing the inventory of classified material and all GSA safes/ containers for the command, ensuring compliance of DOD and SECNAV security policy by security custodians within the command;6) Investigating reports of security violations/compromises and electronic spillages provided technical assistance as required and ensure mandated reports are submitted.
