Duties

This position is located under the Office of Professional Responsibility and Security Operations (OPRSO), Personnel Security Division, Intake & Operations Branch in Washington, District of Columbia.

Qualifications

To qualify for, candidates must also have at least one year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. GS-12 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Determines if reciprocity criteria are properly applied to the investigation based on previous background investigations conducted; and Conducts pre-employment screening and determines interim clearance or temporary eligibility access to facilities or records; and Identifies all components needed to be performed for the background investigation based on the requirements applicable to the investigation type; and Participates in the development of investigation guidelines, procedures and forms. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in the resume.
