About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works - Business OPS/Integration Division on Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN.
Duties
Monitor execution of the Directorate Civilian Performance Rating System for the civilian workforce.
Serve as a primary point of contact and representative for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) civilian awards program.
Assist in preparation of justification for personnel actions.
Serve as the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Employee Benefits Coordinator, disseminating information on open season materials, health and life insurance plans, thrift savings plans, and on the job injuries.
Interpret and apply policies pertaining to the civilian awards systems to ensure submissions are in compliance with regulations, technically adequate, legally correct, and that the justification warrants the nomination.
Discharge a variety of administrative duties in the areas of personnel, Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA), manpower, and mission and functions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist types 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
- This position requires Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) of 5%.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting in preparation of personnel actions, i.e., preparing RPAs, understanding various recruitment preferences, updating and monitor personnel actions from beginning to completion; 2) Tracking and disseminating mandatory training requirements and opportunities for a workforce; and 3) Using automated software systems to support organizational assignments.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade, time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
