Duties
Plans, schedules, organizes and implements outdoor activities such as, but not limited to cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, trips, skeet shooting, parks, ranges, mountain climbing and overnight recreational trips.
Demonstrates techniques and instructs participants in the use of equipment. Coordinates with installation, county, and state officials on programs and information related to outdoor recreation and required licenses.
Researches, plans and develops or enlarges outdoor recreation areas. Prepares standard operating procedures. May assist in the preparation and development of the annual operating budget and 5-year plan.
Assists with loading and unloading of passengers. Ensures vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity. Ensures the safe travel of passengers.
Performs the full range of personnel management responsibilities for subordinate employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Experience which provides the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
OR
Combination of experience and education which provides the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
OR
Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public,urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience.
HIGHLY PREFERRED are applicants who possess the minimum qualifications above AND:
Has held a position in an outdoor recreation field for 3 out of the last 5 years at a NF-02 level or above.
Experience with rental center and RV storage, using RecTrac and Army Recreation Reporting Online (ACRRO) operating systems.
Experience with leading outdoor recreation guided activities and events.
