Duties
Promotes and coordinates a maximum participation recreation program on a year round basis to support eligible personnel.
Develops programs which will meet participant interests and needs of team and individual activities. Identifies facilities, personnel and supplies required to support each program.
Promotes, organizes and directs BOSS (Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers) Programs.
Prepares budgets. Recommends new programs that are cost effective and assures that program emphasis is on those activities most appropriate to the interests of the population served.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
- Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Work experience directing one or more recreation program areas as described above AND:
Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree in one of the program areas to be managed OR
Experience that provided a knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
