This position is located at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA within the Community Recreation Division - Sports - MAC Fitness Center. Duties

Promotes and coordinates a maximum participation recreation program on a year round basis to support eligible personnel. Develops programs which will meet participant interests and needs of team and individual activities. Identifies facilities, personnel and supplies required to support each program. Promotes, organizes and directs intramural and all-star sports programs to coincide with scheduled higher level tournaments for the same sport. Prepares budgets. Recommends new programs that are cost effective and assures that program emphasis is on those activities most appropriate to the interests of the population served. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: The experience and/or education must be reflected on your resume and supporting documentation such as transcripts, degrees, etc. must be uploaded at the time of application to be considered eligible for this position. Work experience directing one or more recreation program areas as described above. AND Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree in one of the program areas to be managed OR experience that provided a knowledge of the goals,principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. Highly Preferred are applicants who possess the minimum qualifications above AND: Minimum 2 years out of the last 5 years of work experience in a fitness related field. *The experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered a highly preferred candidate. **Applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred first to the Selecting Official.
