THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2197000 and is part of the CO JFHQ G4, National Guard.
This position serves in the Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics (DCSLOG), G-4; of an Army National Guard (ARNG) Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) structure.
Duties
Serves as the ARNG Food Program Manager responsible and accountable for oversight of the entire state ARNG Food Service program which includes the administration of the Food Service Budget, Awards Program, new equipment Fielding's, training, Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) and inspections. Maintains oversight of daily, weekly, monthly, and long term system requirements, ARNG Readiness Center equipment modifications, and requirements to meet current workload demands. Monitors the AFMIS to ensure reporting requirements from local, DA, NGB, and vendors are timely and contain accurate and formatted data. Assists and coordinates with functional specialists in the identification of operational requirements and the conversion of these requirements into automated systems documentation. Provides troubleshooting support by analyzing, studying, reviewing, testing, and interpreting information provided by user to determine whether hardware of software problems exists. Provides technical liaison service to each ARNG unit, prime vendor, and other vendor companies. Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative and submits technical specifications of contract requirements for commercial vendors when providing meal support. Conducts, coordinates, and evaluates inspections and assistance visits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations and to identify systemic problems. In accordance with provisions of the Army Regulations internal control systems, initiates, accomplishes and maintains vulnerability assessments, internal control reviews, and, as applicable, proponent checklists. Monitors State ARNG federally funded Readiness Centers and ARNG Dining Facilities to ensure they remain within authorized standards and that required reviews are conducted. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Membership in the Colorado Army National Guard or those eligible to transfer.
- Must hold the grade of E-7 thru E-9, W-1 thru W-4, or O-1 thru O-3.
- Compatible Military Assignment: 92G, 920G, 88A, 91A, 92A, or 90A MOS.
- Submit all required documentation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- For positions requiring the operation for motor vehicle, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
- For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.

Compatible Military Assignments: 92G, 920G, 88A, 91A, 92A, or 90A MOS

Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience identifying activities involving logistical support operations.
2. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan.
3. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan.
4. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions.
5. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices.
Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets 6 months Specialized Experience.
