This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position serves as the Product Support Manager for Product Lead Electronic Attack (PL EA) within Project Manager Electronic Warfare and Cyber, a PEO IEW&S organization. PL EA is responsible for equipping the force with ground and air electronic attack capabilities.
Duties
Provides overall direction and guidance for the development and implementation of a comprehensive product support strategy for the materiel system throughout the system life cycle.
Ensures achievement of desired product support outcomes through development and implementation of appropriate product support arrangements.
Plans, organizes, and directs the product support operations of the functional unit.
Oversees and monitors the collection, recording, and documentation of property book data for the continuous update and control of automated property accountability records.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year probationary period may be required.

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level III (Advanced) in the Acquisition Career Field (Life Cycle Logistics) within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP).
- Position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
- Incumbent is required to submit Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with sensitive compartmental information or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Extensive experience in the areas of life-cycle logistics including development, acquisition, testing, product improvements, fielding, sustainment, and property accountability; 2) Providing input and oversight of the areas of cost estimating, planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, reliability availability, maintainability. And interoperability; and 3) Managing the fielding, training, or sustainment of military systems as a part of an acquisition program.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 (GS-13).
