About the Position: The Graduate Medical Education Student Coordinator provides a variety of administrative and educational services in support of all students, military and civilian, in the health care professions requesting to complete clinical training rotations/observation hours at the medical center. The incumbent plans, promotes and implements administrative requirements to facilitate this process.
Duties
Coordinate proper Directorate of Medical Education /Graduate Medical Education in-processing procedures.
Plan, manage, and coordinate the clinical training rotations of students in accordance with Defense Health Agency (DHA) regulations and local policy, matching students with effective teaching services.
Serve as the primary liaison between clinical preceptors and students in coordinating and scheduling student rotations.
Maintain centralized files and documents final record of students' participation in training.
Prepare and maintains spreadsheet/database applications to track students, school affiliation status, program evaluations, program compliance, and survey results.
Requirements

- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. This experience includes performing administrative, technical, and clerical duties related to Medical Education. Specifically, you should have experience in maintaining training schedules, creating files, compiling, and retrieving data for reports using automated software, coordinating in-processing procedures and clinical training rotations for students, and developing memoranda of agreements for
rotations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
