You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will analyze requirements, makes decisions to procure, repair or direct assets to meet customer needs for their assigned items. You will review computerized procurement, repair, termination and redistribution recommendations and modifies them to accommodate the balancing of long supply, budget constraints, long lead time items and customer needs. You will ensure requirements computations are accurate in review board audits and presentations. You will process requisitions for worldwide support for material that cannot be satisfied automatically. You will determine feasibility of satisfying requirements from an alternate source including rework, cannibalization, substitution, shipyard manufacture or use of next higher assembly.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, developing and implementing effective NRP product support strategies throughout the life cycle the material; 2) Developing and implementing a comprehensive product support strategy for the NRP material support; 3) Using developed analysis tools to ensure the material availability requirement is achieved; 4) Ensuring results of desired product support outcomes through the development of appropriate technical documentation packages; 5) Adjusting performance requirements and resource allocations across division functional areas as necessary to optimize implementation of the NRP product support strategy. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. 1) Knowledge of NRP support and comprehensive knowledge of the policies and procedures applicable to Inventory Management; 2) Effective time management, administrative and communication skills; 3) Knowledge of ERP transaction codes/capabilities and demonstrate proficiency with all ERP tools; 4) Knowledge of storage, distribution requirements determination, requisitioning, disposal, budgeting, provisioning and procurement. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or,

Successful completion of LL.M., if related
or

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
