You will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist in the Department of Energy (DOE) Material Office of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will coordinate and physically conduct scheduled inventories, random spot inventories, location audit inventories, and perform causative research of identified inventory discrepancies.
You will perform logistics functions within the Enterprise Business System (EBS) on the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program Network and other business systems as needed (i.e ERP).
You will work closely with the senior Inventory Management Specialist to secure needed information/decisions involving inventory discrepancies and perform inventory adjustments including gains-by inventory, losses-by-inventory, and location changes.
You will use established policies, procedures, and verbal or written instructions from the senior Inventory Management Specialist in the execution of duties.
You will maintain inventory records and reference materials such as project files, DD Form 200 Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss, causative research forms, and discrepancy reports.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying practical knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied inventory management principles, concepts, and methodologies to conduct causative research and analysis, including the review of transaction history reports, receipt logs, receipt documents, shipment documentation, and disposal documents. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Participating in planning, developing, implementing, and managing scheduled and spot inventories to ensure that all required inventories are completed and processed within the prescribed timeframes; 2) Providing training and guidance on proper inventory procedures and requirements; 3) Securing needed information and performing inventory adjustments including gains by inventory, losses by inventory, and location changes; and 4) Recommending systems and measures to improve inventory accuracy in an effort to reduce costs and increase quality.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
