You will serve as a Lead Inventory Management Specialist in the Organic Repair and End Item Management Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will coordinate repair capability, repair turnaround time, repair prices/man-hours and the resolution of any/all related support problems and determines and directs the stock location of material managed. You will provide inventory management support for material that is repaired and manufactured by Organic (Navy Industrial) facilities and serves as the lead inventory management specialist. You will be responsible for reconciling discrepancies or coordinating with the appropriate personnel to resolve those discrepancies You will prepares Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and releases them to the appropriate Organic manufacturing source(s).

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Inventory Management work. I have an advanced knowledge of repairable management including; repair requirements forecasting, organic depot assignment processes, depot production scheduling, and depot funding methodologies. Specialize experience includes the following: 1) Providing guidance, support, and technical management direction over practices and procedures for inventory management personnel; 2) Developing and analyzing reports on workload trends and critical work issues regarding inventory management processes, specifically repair; 3) Coordinating and prioritizing inventory management related tasks and projects to meet internal or external requirements; 4) Utilizing knowledge of changing work requirements, policies, and procedures to determine training needs for team members; 5) Researching and interpreting new supply policies and procedures to determine their impact on factors such as workload, manpower, material, and budget requirements.
