You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (BLS/HAZMAT TECH) of NAS JAX.
Duties
You will determine the extent of damage from hazardous materials to a container.
You will perform acceptance testing on fire protection systems, fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, or smoke-heat detection systems.
You will monitor a patient's baseline vital signs (e.g., temperature, blood pressure, pulse) during a medical emergency.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Responding to fires and fire related emergencies involving structures, aircraft, motor vehicles, wild land, and hazardous materials, and administering emergency care within the scope of a Basic Life Support provider.
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter I/II, Airport Firefighter, HazMat Technician, Driver Operator Pumper, Driver Operator ARFF, Driver Operator Aerial
Also requires National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT).
