This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing.
Duties
As a Program Analyst, you will:
Initiates strategies, develop methodologies, lead the analysis, and advise management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of programs and operations of the Program Office.
Develops program, acquisition, and/or data analysis strategies needed to justify and plan objectives for new and existing programs and special initiatives, as well as to show whether established programs effectively accomplish objectives.
Initiates, plans, and conducts complex studies and reviews of assessment subarea activities.
Leads teams that gather, assemble, analyzes, and evaluate complex facts, draw appropriate conclusions, and devise solutions to assigned problems.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Assessing program effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement of processes and procedures; AND
Analyzing and developing results-oriented solutions to enhance organizational processes and operational efficiencies; AND
Developing and presenting presentations to management/stakeholders; AND
Leading effective and efficient program and project management activities in support of programs and projects assigned.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
