About the Position: This position is located in the Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Washington. Madigan annex. Full time. Monday through Friday 0730-1600. Duties

The incumbent provides administrative oversight and management support to the Division Chief Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), Consolidated Education Division (MCED). Implement division strategic plans and ensures consistency with MAMC goals, and compliance with external accrediting and auditing agencies. Conduct management studies, including cost effectiveness, organizational structure, and equipment utilization . Perform analysis, including reviewing, editing, and consolidating budget submission. Prepare a variety of monthly reports covering status of funds, expenses and obligations. Direct/supervise assigned personnel .

Requirements

• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 05% of the time.
• Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations.

D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as:hospital administration, public health administration, Human Resources or related fields such as business or Public Administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
