This position is in the Planning, Programs and Project Management Division (PPPMD). PPPMD is responsible for the development and execution of program budgets for general investigations (studies and pre-construction design work), general construction (projects in construction), operation and maintenance, flood control and coastal emergencies and general regulatory appropriations. PPPMD project managers lead multi-disciplinary teams to study, design, construct and maintain the district's projects.

Duties

Serves as Lead Program Analyst for civil works projects. Supports and collaborates with project managers and appropriation managers during development, defense, and execution of the Civil Works Program. Troubleshoots and supports resolution of unique process and system complications as they arise with minimal supervisory assistance. Trains junior program analysts on full range of procedural, technical, and evaluative duties. Reviews monthly Project Management reports for assigned projects to assure consistency with budget and program policy, and with data presented to Congress. Performs special studies at the request of the Chief, Program Management Section in response to frequent USACE exercises and information requests in connection with the inquiries from Congressional staff or Office of Management and Budget. Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
