Internship will begin Spring 2024. This internship is within the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, Supervisory Policy Sections, which is the primary FDIC group that focuses on consumer protection-related regulatory policy.
Duties
Under the direction and supervision, the incumbent will participate in and/or independently perform the following:
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Qualifying education:
Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education, or eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) with completion of a bachelor's degree. If utilizing SAA, you must submit your transcripts or proof of your national honor society membership.

Qualifying experience:
To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 05 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as assisting with the research and analysis of financial practices, services, or products for banking/financial institutions; drafting summaries, reports, memoranda and PowerPoint presentations; and maintenance of databases, tables, and spreadsheets.
Combination of Education and Experience:
Your current education completed is credited as a percentage of the education required for the grade level and your current experience is credited as a percentage of the total experience required for the grade level. The two percentages are added and must equal 100% in order to qualify for the desired grade level.
