Duties

This position is located under the Office of Professional Responsibility & Security Operations, Personnel Security Division, located in Washington, District of Columbia.

Qualifications

To qualify for a GS-15, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14. GS-15 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience. Specialized Experience is: Utilizes supervisory or leadership duties which includes administrative and operational matters, budgetary activities, strategic planning, fiscal/personnel resources and information technology issues affecting program operations; AND Develops and implements personnel security management policies, practices and procedures; AND Oversees the tracking of all background investigations assigned to employees and/or contractors; AND Utilizes oral and written communication skills (a must to deal with various levels of internal and external management).
