You will serve as a Program Manager in the Surface Ship Readiness Program, Surface Warfare Directorate of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
Duties
You will be responsible for Program Management and Oversight to ensure effective program execution on In-Service and New Construction Bridge Integration and Design efforts.
You will manage cost, schedule and performance of the Bridge Integration Program efforts and associated design projects to ensure applicable systems effectively interface with one another and are in compliance with Bridge Design standards.
You will provide oversight over multiple ship class integration efforts to support effective achievement of challenging program performance objectives and complex program solutions.
You will advise the program office and senior leadership on Bridge Integration efforts and status, and provide recommendations on integration and design solutions
You will provide technical and program direction in achieving complex program/project objectives.
You will direct the actions of diverse, professional level, multi-disciplinary, integrated federal and contractor teams in support of program planning and execution activities.
You will review and approve contract plans, modifications and specifications.
You will work with Business and Financial Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in all phases of Program Planning, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) to identify, secure, apply and maintain resources for program/project requirements.
You will set priorities, prepare schedules for work completion, and ensure the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts.
You will evaluate employee performance.
You will establish work assignments to be accomplished by employees and team members assigned to the program.
You will support and work collaboratively with the Principle Assistant Program Manager for Bridge Integration on all assigned Bridge Integration program efforts.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing program or project requirements (e.g. contracting, resource allocation, manpower, strategic planning, risk assessments, project planning and schedules, workforce performance, budget planning, development and execution, process improvement and financial management) to support the construction, modernization, or maintenance of submarines or surface ships.
