About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Manages the overall New Equipment Training Program for the installation, operation, maintenance, and support of designated cyber, signal, electronic warfare, and network communications-electronics equipment.
Projects effective training and training material development cycles.
Verifies Training Support Packages; develops proponent Initial System Training Plans (I-Strap) and System Training Plans (STRAP) in the STRAP Writing Tool (SWT).
Coordinates with program managers, education, training, equipment, and communications specialist and technicians, to obtain data related to new equipment development impacts on the training development program.
Maintains continuous coordination with material, combat, logistics and education specialists during the training development process.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information based on a T5 investigation.
- Incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position requires up to 60% Temporary Duty Travel.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by (1) coordinating training programs for new equipment deployment, (2) establishing life cycle management for assigned projects, (3) troubleshooting routine technical problems and advising on corrective actions concerning new equipment training, and (4) maintaining continuous coordination with materiel, combat, logistics and education specialists during the training development process.

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
