You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (HR Development) in the Naval Air Systems Command, Department of the Navy of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will provide support to identify and accomplish training requirements. You will assist in the development and monitoring of Individual Development Plans (IDP). You will draft Activity Training Plan and develop, publish and distribute training calendar. Collects completed training course documentation and instructor files. You will serve as the Program Training Assistant and will be the internal point of contact for employees for information and coordination. You will utilize e-mail, PowerPoint, Excel and Word in performing the duties of position. You will develop methods for automating reports using a variety of software packages and modifying the existing tracking system to correct problems or establish a database management system to improve tracking methods. You will assist with travel, ordering supplies, and creating/submitting Requests for Personnel Action (RPAs).

Requirements

Qualifications

GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Providing support to identifying and accomplishing training requirements; 2) Processing training requests, schedule and coordinate training events; 3) Maintain training reports; 4) Utilize data systems to create requests for personnel actions; 5) Demonstrating customer service skills and ability to multitask. GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Updating or revising existing databases and spreadsheets; 2) Using advanced software functions such as special symbols, importing graphics and merging documents, precise alignment of multiple columns; 3) Utilizing e-mail, PowerPoint, Excel and Word in performing the duties; 4) Demonstrating customer service skills and ability to multitask. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-05:
Successful completion of at least four years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and post high school education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
