You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant in the Human Capital Management Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will provide personnel clerical services and technical support in a variety of personnel areas, including responsibility for coordinating actions for processing.
You will review and coordinate all personnel actions such as appointments including temporary, intermittent and excepted, change in status, transfers, separations and promotions.
You will coordinate onboarding and new hire paperwork while acting as primary point of contact for all communication matters.
You will collect and review necessary payroll and employee related information
You will provide program support for Labor and Employee Relations programs.
You will ensure data integrity and compliance through routine self and team audits and provide detailed reports as needed.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating onboarding and new hire paperwork while acting as primary point of contact for all communication matters; 2) Ensuring data integrity and compliance through routine self and team audits and provide detailed reports; 3) Gathering maintaining and analyzing data for numerous reports, briefings and communication documents; 4) Demonstrating knowledge of human resources methods, evaluation techniques and staffing principles to perform technical tasks involving recurring vacancies, classification and positions.
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing internal systems to set up and update accounts and workers; 2) Collecting and reviewing necessary payroll and employee related information; 3) Demonstrating the ability to apply rules and procedures to a variety or HR processes and requirements.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-05:
Successful completion of at least four years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and post high school education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
