This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a lead systems administrator for broad and complex Army Enterprise systems.

Duties

Plan and coordinate the installation, testing, operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software to ensure the availability and functionality of enterprise systems. Track equipment requirements, program funding, procurements, distribution, and delivery of new equipment. Apply analytical processes to assess, plan, design, and request new and improved IT systems to meet users’ needs. Recommend design and implementation of new requirements and modifications to existing software. Evaluate the effectiveness and performance of Information Technology (IT) networks. Provide IT advice to customers who manage the development, production, and sustainment of enterprise systems.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a top secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
• This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Tentatively selected applicants will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug testing.
• TDY/Business Travel is required 25% of the time.
• This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter .
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
• A one year trial/probationary period may be required.

AND In addition to the competencies listed above, you must have one year of experience which includes: 1) Providing IT software testing/administration support to Enterprise level systems such as system architecture or software production; 2) Performing analysis/evaluation on new or existing software services to evaluate system functionality/configuration; 3) Providing IT technical guidance to contractors to resolve technical issues or evaluate performance; and ) Developing policies and procedures for managing the use of system facilities and equipment.
