You will serve as a Nondestructive Testing Inspector Supervisor I in the Nondestructive Test Division of the Quality Management Office at TRIDENT Refit Facility, Kings Bay, GA.

Duties

You will conduct daily job site reviews and provide surveillance of in-process inspection operations. You will plan and coordinate nuclear and nonnuclear work assignments within the section on an immediate and long term basis. You will review technical work documents and nondestructive test inspection procedures prior to final acceptance of product. You will assure that subordinate personnel effectively carry out policies to achieve management objectives. You will make formal appraisals of subordinate personnel, initiate personnel actions, act on personnel problems, and maintain administrative records.

  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is the Ability to Lead or Supervise, including: Initiating personnel actions, plans, and establishing and monitoring leave schedules; Recommending promotions and providing input on personnel actions and performance appraisals; Ensuring submarine safety (SUBSAFE) and Nuclear interface work is accomplished within established requirements; Planning and coordinating work assignments to establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences; AND Reviewing inspection reports and work records to ensure compliance to contracts, specifications, and regulations.
