Duties
Design and implement processes and programs that define IACH logistics readiness support requirements and develop the plan and align capabilities to respond to these requirements.
Develop and administer logistical activities to meet the needs of the DHA/DENTAC/VETCOM in the accomplishment of the medical, dental and vet missions.
Execute the logistical financial programs related to materiel, equipment, equipment maintenance including Defense Working Capital Funds, consumer appropriations (OMA) and Defense Healthcare Program.
Update medical logistics and transportation plans and policies and a variety of special and recurring reports, both oral and written, for presentation to the MTF commander.
Work with RMC Log Readiness to clarify requirements, develop the response plan and ensure capability matches requirements.
Determine work priorities and personnel requirements, organize work schedules, assign and review work, and instruct subordinate in work techniques and priorities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes revising medical logistics for emergency management policies and regulations, developing resolutions for logistical support issues, and utilizing automated supply systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
