Duties
You will provide onsite technical support to existing equipment, install new equipment, and logistical support to the Local Navy Authority and prime government contractors; perform on multiple complex C4l and Information Technology (IT) projects.
You will make informed decisions on problems and analyze segments of broader issues or problems.
You will participate in the development of designs, plans, and solutions to ensure viable options are proposed for equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and maintenance.
You will install one-of-a-kind equipment, custom equipment, developmental equipment, or equipment which is continually being modified and adapted and does not usually have adequate documentation.
You will communicate with internal and external customers and leadership, technical leaders, and managers to plan, install, monitor, test and evaluate highly complex and technical C4| and Information Technology (IT) systems.
You will oversee multiple Alteration Installation Team functions ensuring integration of services and day-to-day installation operation covering assemblies, equipment, systems or subsystems that are notably complex.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 801 level Entry within 12 months of appointment.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is subject to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a wide range of technical engineering methods, principles, requirements, work techniques, and practices in an area of installation specialization for C4l and Information Technology (IT) systems, and skill in applying standardized, analytical, and evaluative methods and techniques.

Ph.D.
OR
equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
