The position serves as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist for the Department of Justice (DOJ), United States Trustee Program (USTP), Executive Office for United States Trustees (EOUST), Office of Information Technology (OIT), as one of the IT Staff's technical experts supporting various IT initiatives program wide.

As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) GS - 2210 - 14, your typical work assignments may include the following: Serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) providing network and computer security and risk management planning. Lead the implementation of projects to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities, with a focus on cloud security and endpoint detection and response. Develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of security policies, including incident response, identity management, and insider threat prevention and detection. Investigate and analyze risk that may lead to the suspension of operations, denial of user access, or unauthorized access to DOJ information and communication systems. Prepares recurring and ad hoc reports; prepares statistical reports, technical and operational assessments, incident reports, proposals for improvements, and formal technical Change Requests.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) at (GS-2210-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing end-to-end IT project management and support of IT systems and infrastructure (Azure government cloud, networking, endpoint security, monitoring and reporting, etc.).
