About the Position: Serve as a Staff Action Analyst with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Army (Manpower and Reserve Affairs). The position is located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Duties

Maintain accountability for incoming correspondence, actions and/or tasking's. Utilize the tracking system to track receipt, assignment, and completion of actions processed. Create reports used to track the completion of taskings for management. Compose a variety of written correspondence to obtain signature of approving authority. Maintain the Defense Travel System (DTS) which includes scheduling personnel, trip planning, and training. Maintain time and attendance records along with processing leave requests.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes write, re-write and editing professional and technical written products for senior leadership; administer tasks utilizing a system such as: the Task Management Tool (TMT) to maintain actions and/or critical taskings; respond to administrative and/or management inquiries for stakeholders; and maintain records such as: civilian time and attendance, leave requests and/or business travel related documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailTechnical CompetenceWriting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
