About the Position: This position is located at Fort Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville.
Duties
Compile and maintain data on required equipment and supplies based on the Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) and property book; prepare documents for the chain of command to show equipment and supply status and how it pertains to the budget.
Use automation to prepare and maintain reports and documents such as the SOP, Budget, Lost and Damaged reports, and supply records.
Coordinate with internal and external organizations to the maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and buildings.
Assist higher and/or lower echelons with all aspects of logistical/supply support, including training, preparation of documents, inspection, accountability, and coordination.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Must be willing to accept a term position
- This Position requires 25% TDY travel outside the duty station.
- Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 3 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond of 6 years, up to eight 8 years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight 8 years.
- Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a temporary or Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Temp or Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience which includes experience in the area of General Supply; compiling data based on the Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) and the organization's needs to forecast the annual budget. Preparation and processing of documents related to the purchase, issue, and turn in of equipment and supplies. Maintaining unit supply records, coordinating the repair and maintenance of equipment, buildings, and facilities. Assisting higher and/or lower echelons with all a logistical/supply support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
