About the Position: This position may be filled as a temporary promotion not to exceed 3 years by a current permanent Army Employee. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition. Position may be filled as a TERM appointment not to exceed three years if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. TERM appointments may be extended up to a maximum of eight years. See Additional Information for more information.

Duties

Compile and maintain data on required equipment and supplies based on the Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) and property book; prepare documents for the chain of command to show equipment and supply status and how it pertains to the budget. Use automation to prepare and maintain reports and documents such as the SOP, Budget, Lost and Damaged reports, and supply records. Coordinate with internal and external organizations to the maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and buildings. Assist higher and/or lower echelons with all aspects of logistical/supply support, including training, preparation of documents, inspection, accountability, and coordination.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Must be willing to accept a term position and serve a one year trial period.

Preparation and processing of documents related to the purchase, issue, and turn in of equipment and supplies. Maintaining unit supply records, coordinating the repair and maintenance of equipment, buildings, and facilities. Assisting higher and/or lower echelons with all a logistical/supply support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Interpersonal SkillsManages and Organizes InformationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
