Duties

- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- A background investigation is required.

You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience performing at least three of the following administrative support functions for a large organization: Coordinating and analyzing fiscal matters related to allotment and expenditures of program funds; participating in the preparation of budgets; managing internal control processes; federal travel regulations, policies, and procedures; experience processing travel transactions; monitoring, approving, and tracking travel and training activities; and/or leading team projects.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
