About the Position: Announcement will be used to fill a Writer-Editor (Acquisition), NH-1082-03, position at the Deputy Office of the Assistant of the for Procurement (ODASA-P). The NH-03 pay band encompasses grades 12 and 13 under the General Schedule (GS) system.
Duties
Interprets public affairs policies to effectively develop social media content that conveys strategic communications.
Applies a high level of expertise in technical writing and editing skills to incorporate historical and factual analysis of cultural, economic, and political-military issues staff presentations and decision-making.
Serves as senior writer-editor and plans, organizes, writes, and coordinates acquisition work products and communications content for the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Procurement), the Army Contracting Enterprise, and the Army Acquisition Executive.
Develops contents highlighting the latest focus areas of the workforce.
Drafts articles for submission to multiple platforms in support of the strategic communications agenda and prepares talking points or speeches for senior leaders as needed.
Reviews procurement documents (Legislative proposals, Congressional Inquiries, Acquisition Strategies, etc.) submitted for senior level approval for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
Requirements

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for Foundational certification in the Acquisition Career Field Acquisition within 36 months
of entrance on duty.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Business travel required up to 10% of the time.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02/GS-11 or equivalency which includes: 1) Providing strong communication skills, both oral and written, to create acquisition work products; 2) Utilizing strong research skills to provide accuracy in writing products such as articles, online publications and other sources of written material; 3) Interpret rules, regulations and policies for implementation in writing products. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
