You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the FRIGATE PROGRAM OFFICE (PMS 515) of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.
Duties
You will serve as the Director for Acquisition and Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM), for the program office's authority on program acquisition, Navy and Government acquisition rules, guidance, and processes.
You will set clear priorities for the Acquisition division, define strategies, and offer guidance that aligns with the priorities of PEO USC and PMS 515.
You will inform leadership of decisions on matters pertaining to procurement, contracting, business systems and practices, and acquisition policy.
You will represent the organization to senior level personnel, internal and external to the Department, to
provide written and oral advice, direction, or report on program status and to diffuse and address
controversial program issues.
You will cultivate and maintain reliable, healthy relationships with key stakeholders across the Navy enterprise and the shipbuilder.
You will perform supervisory responsibilities by establishing work assignments to be accomplished by employees, setting work priorities, evaluating employee performance, and providing guidance on administrative and work matters.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector formulating acquisition strategies to acquire and allocate resources to achieve program goals, milestones, or schedule requirements in support of a ship modernization program.
