You will provide business management support to the Project Manager(s) at AFRC for projects at the center, including coordinating with customers and stakeholders at multiple levels (center, HQ, internal and external) to ensure efficient and effective operations of projects and missions which may include various science and/or flight campaigns.
Duties
Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
Analyze processes, identify efficiencies, and recommend and facilitate changes to optimize operations and resources towards meeting established goals and objectives.
Develop, analyze and evaluate plans for programs/projects. Provide project planning and project control support for the identified projects.
Support operation and maintenance of other Project functions as required to help the Center achieve efficient Project planning and execution consistent with Center policies, processes and metrics; support project micro-purchases via government PCard.
Report on trend analysis, project analysis, control policies and requirements for a program/project.
Apply analytical methods to identify, evaluate, and recommend appropriate solutions. Applies written and oral communication techniques sufficient to develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports.
Provide coordination across project team and customers for various science/flight campaign preparation activities.
Manage assigned Project portfolio. Support Agency reporting, data calls, and briefings for assigned Project portfolios. Uses and participates in processes and meetings to plan, manage, and execute responsibilities.
Support project planning/development of operational services, including evaluating and identifying solutions, evaluating on-going functions to maintain or improve operational efficiency and providing detailed plans for implementation.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify at the GS-12 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level:
Assisting in the development and implementation of plans and procedures that improve the effectiveness of project
operations;
Supporting project leadership in coordinating and reporting schedule assessment and performance, and/or assessing budgetary requirements and performance; and
Assisting in the development of informational briefings to management, including development of options and recommendations.
To qualify at the GS-13 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:
Developing and implementing plans and procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of project operations;
Coordinating various projects, to include coordinating schedules and assessing budgetary requirements and reporting; and
Developing and delivering informational briefings to management including development of options and recommendations based on analysis of existing data and processes.
