You will serve as the Navy Site Lead and the U.S. Operational Test Team (UOTT) Test Director (TD) in the Research and Development Group, Battlespace Engrg Anly Sim and Test Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will coordinate all NAWC-WD personnel requirements supporting F-35 Operational Test (OT) at Edwards Airforce Base, including the US Operational Test Team (UOTT) (located at Nellis Air Force Base AFB) and VX-9 Det Edwards.
You will be responsible for developing and defining contractor support requirements when the appropriate NAWC-WD competency cannot provide the required support.
You will provide overall administrative direction, coordination, and management of all NAWC-WD personnel assigned at VX-9 Det Edwards.
You will design, develop, and direct the operational/integrated test plan for assigned systems programs for the UOTT.
You will determine test requirements and sets product expectations for test personnel and coordinates completion of these products with applicable IPTs for the UOTT.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band (DA-05) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Leading, coordinating, and completing operational test activities and working with Operational Test and Evaluation Force (OPTEVFOR); 2) Interpreting acquisition instructions and regulations to implement procedures related to the proper design, resources and operational test and evaluation of all programs assigned; 3) Providing expert advice on the development and interpretation of operational effectiveness and operational suitability parameters for aviation programs undergoing operational test; 4) Monitoring operational analysis and studies of the mathematical and engineering methods to evaluate test results.
