You will serve as a Program Manager in the Test and Evaluation Management for Programs and Operations Division of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.

Duties

You will Identify opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities. You will advise management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command. You will utilize a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition. You will maintain liaison between the various activities, obtaining and relaying information between participants.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 2) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; 3) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command, 4) Demonstrating working knowledge of business systems, processes, practices used to manage acquisition test and evaluation, and 5) Coordinating program efforts with other activities and personnel directly assigned or detailed to support the program.
