This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for providing a full range of budget and related support for U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM)'s Global Operations Center (GOC) and its associated mission.
Duties
As a BUDGET ANALYST at the GS-0560-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Executing a full-range of financial support to the Global Operations Center (GOC) during exercises and major USTRANSCOM operations, such as military contingencies and humanitarian crises.
Reviewing, tracking, monitoring, reporting, and analyzing execution of funds.
Conducting analyses, reviews and special studies of budget and/or related information.
Representing the directorate and USTRANSCOM at meetings and conferences.
Requirements
- This position is designated by the AF as a Test Designated Position (TDP) under the AF Civilian Drug Testing Program. Incumbent of this position is subject to the possibility of random drug testing
- Must be a U.S. citizen

- Suitable for Federal employment determined by a background investigation. Employee must obtain/maintain a Special Sensitive (Sensitive Compartmented
Information) security clearance

- This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, military, or private sector:
Gathering, assembling, and analyzing source of factual information, such as that found in accounting reports, records, work reports, or inventory and supply data
Applying commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to formulate, justify, and execute assigned budget policy to support the mission, structure, goals, work processes, and programs of the organization
Conducting analyses, reviews and special studies of budget and/or related information.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
