About the Position: Serves as Supervisory Budget Analyst within the Transportation Working Capital Fund (TWCF) Budget Division, under the direction of the TWCF Budget Division Chief. Responsible for a full range of budget actions involving the Transportation Working Capital Fund.

Duties

Develop budget plans for the organizations budget division. Manage the organizations working capital funds budgetary process. Analyze budget guidance to determine impact on assigned organizations operations. Assign work to employees based on the priority and level of complexity.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450. Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position requires a financial management level 2 certification.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Formulation, Justification, and PresentationConcepts, Policies, and Principles of BudgetFinancial Management AnalysisLeadership Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
