About the Position Serve as the Security Assistance Training Field Activity's (SATFA) Aviation Training Program Manager (ATPM) responsible for planning, programming, scheduling, and administration of Security Cooperation and Assistance training (SAT) programs. This position is located at the US Army Training and Doctrine Command, Deputy Chief of Staff G3/5/7, Deputy G3 Training, USA Security Assistance Training Field Activity (SATFA), at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

Duties

Serve as the SATFA Aviation Training Program Manager (ATPM) responsible for directly coordinating with numerous agencies outside of SATFA to prioritize and manage Foreign Military Sales (FMS) funded aviation training programs. Work with the SATFA Quota Management Branch, Country Program Managers, HQDA Staff, and Fort Novosel Staff in the management and projections of aviation quotas in the Structure and Manning Decision Review (SMDR). Review all aviation training and other special training programs for international military student situations regarding attendance, and any other situation related to a specific international military student. Ensure understanding of the resource constrained environment associated with institutional aviation training and alternate training methods.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement up to 25% of the time.
  • The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. Must complete certification-related training requirements in the security cooperation area of concentration within the timeframe associated with the position.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one -year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or remove.
